Joliet Man Arrested Twice In Same Day At BP Gas Station

2 min read

JOLIET, IL — A 37-year-old Joliet man was arrested by Joliet police two separate times on Wednesday afternoon. At the time of his second arrest, police say Quitman Morrow was throwing rocks at the BP after being kicked off the property about 90 minutes earlier. The gas station is at the busy corner of South Chicago and McDonough Streets near Joliet’s downtown.

As a result of both incidents, Morrow was arrested on charges of criminal trespass to land, criminal trespass to real property, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct.

Around 2:10 p.m., Joliet officers went to the BP gas station after learning the employees did not want Morrow on their property anymore.

Officers talked with Morrow and ordered him to leave the property, police said.

Morrow left the BP gas station as the officers requested, but then he returned a short time later while Joliet police were still there, police indicated.

Officers placed Morrow under arrest and officers recovered a pipe used for smoking narcotics, police said. Morrow was processed at the Joliet Police Department and released on an I-Bond, authorities said.

Around 3:45 p.m., Joliet police were called back to the BP station again after being notified that Morrow was back on the property.

“Morrow was throwing rocks at the windows of the business and then entered the business, at which time he stole merchandise before leaving the area,” Joliet police announced. “Officers later placed Morrow into custody after he again returned to the gas station.”

Morrow lives in the 400 block of South Eastern Avenue, Will County Jail logs show.
