Suspects identified shooting Trussville gas station Edwards Lake Road

UPDATE: December 15th: The Jefferson County Coroner Medical Examiner’s Office identified the shooting victim as David Hammons, 64, of Irondale. The JCCMEO says Hammons died at UAB Hospital Sunday night.———————————————-UPDATE 12/12: Alfred Logan, Jr. was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Sunday morning. Officials say Logan was armed with a handgun when he was arrested.He was also wanted in connection to the death of Kedrick Green in Buncombe County, North Carolina, in November. He is now charged with first-degree murder in that case.According to the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office, Lindsey Calton left the area with Logan and committed crimes in other jurisdictions. Calton is charged with felony accessory after the fact of first-degree murder and felony obstruction of justice related to Green’s death.—UPDATE 12/10: On Friday, Trussville police identified two suspects in connection with a Wednesday morning shooting at a gas station on Edwards Lake Road near Trussville. Calton is in custody, but Logan is on the run and considered “armed and dangerous.”The victim’s condition is unknown.—Authorities are investigating after a man was found shot multiple times at a gas station on Edwards Lake Road near Trussville Wednesday morning. See video of the scene above.Irondale police said a 64-year-old man was found on the ground outside of his car with gunshot wounds to his face, neck and shoulder at the Shell gas station just after 8 a.m. The man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.Police said it appeared the man may have been the victim of a carjacking or robbery attempt at Colonial Village at Trussville apartments just down the road.
